According to the Reuters, during a Saturday meeting in Qatar, The US officials and Taliban’s radical movement (forbidden in Russia) representatives finalized clauses to be included in a draft agreement aiming to end the 17-year-old Afghan war.

As reported by the Reuters, one of the deal’s conditions will include the withdrawal of foreign forces from the country in 18 months from the future signing of the deal.

According to official data, there’re around 14 thousand American troops currently deployed in Afghanistan. They are both involved in military operations and help train the Afghan military to combat the terrorists on their own. Besides, 16 thousand soldiers from NATO-countries are stationed in Afghanistan. However, these troops only consult the Afghan forces and don’t take part in combat activities.
